This section is a trivial incident and WP:NOTNEWS. It includes five(!) different references which is nearly 1/4 of all references for the entire history of this hotel (WP:WEIGHT problems). Any hotel is going to have minor incidents (this one was a simple mistaken identity of no consequence); we are not a news service the incident has no enduring value. Just being in the news doesn't make something appropriate for inclusion. -- GreenC 16:25, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:NOTNEWS #2: Wikipedia considers the enduring notability of persons and events. While news coverage can be useful source material for encyclopedic topics, most newsworthy events do not qualify for inclusion. For example, routine news reporting on things like announcements, sports, or celebrities is not a sufficient basis for inclusion in the encyclopedia. -- GreenC 16:35, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The large number of references indicates that this incident received significant reporting and is considered more notable than e.g. that £10m was spent on maintenance in the 1990s. All buildings need continual maintenance so this cannot be a surprise?Dingowasher (talk) 21:32, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The number of articles doesn't matter to WP:NOTNEWS, many trivial things get lots of coverage - for example celebrity news. The building maintenance is part of the hotels story of dilapidation and repair which is central to its history. Nor does it take up an entire section of the article and demand 1/4 of all sources. -- GreenC 21:44, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
