Overall this is a good, detailed article, though I have a few issues:

  • The infobox says 4 battle cruisers were planned, but only three are mentioned. I assume the 4 is an error.
  • The first paragraph of the construction explains that 3 were built or started and one more was planned, it also has a reference. Mephiston999 (talk) 19:18, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • In that first list, I'd either use semicolons or bullets; both do not seem necessary.
    • Done.
  • "more realistic displacement of 25,000–26,000 tonnes" My military history knowledge is not that great, but wouldn't an increase in displacement make it less realistic?
    • No, because the first design attempted to do too much on too little displacement.
  • Could Admiral Kuznetov be linked to the appropriate person?
    • Linked
  • "but sea trials of the lead ship of that class in December 1950—January 1951 proved that she was very wet forward" What does this mean? A little confusing.
    • Waves tended to ride over the bow of the Chapayev class rather than be diverted to the side. The shape and size of the Stalingrad's bow was revised in light of their experience.
  • "Aft it was protected by a 200-millimeter (7.9 in) armored bulkhead." Doesn't seem to be worded right, but I could be wrong since I'm not familiar with the word. On the first mention of aft I'd include the definition; no way I would've known it meant near the stern if I didn't look it up.
    • Linked at first occurrence. Sentence combined and reworded.
  • "The first sections of Stalingrad had been laid down in November 1951 in Slipway "O" of the Marti South Shipyard in Nikolayev where a Sovetsky Soyuz-class battleship, Sovetskaya Ukraina, had been begun in 1938[21]," I'd reword the second part as "where construction had begun" or something along those lines - had been begun sounds off.
    • Fixed
  • "She was towed from Nikolayev on 19 May 1955 by three tugs" Who was? I assume Stalingrad but sections shouldn't start off that way.
    • Fixed
  • Publishers should be added for the couple online refs you use.

I'll put the article on hold for a few days and pass it when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 18:46, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Everything looks good now, so I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 02:36, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
