Fair use rationale for Image:Sn-standback.jpg

Image:Sn-standback.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Inaccurate statement

According to the article, "she also performs the song with Fleetwood Mac (the only solo Nicks track to be done by the band)."

This is not entirely true. On the Shake The Cage tour, which supported Tango In The Night, Fleetwood Mac also performed Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You. There was also a rumored performance of Ghosts from The Other Side Of The Mirror during a Fleetwood Mac show.

I'd suggest revising the sentence to read "she also performs the song with Fleetwood Mac. It is currently the only solo Nicks track performed by the band." Sarzonia (talk) 20:45, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Prince is officially a co-writer of the song

The Harry Fox Agency is the official repository of this information. Search for "Stand Back" and you'll see Prince is listed as a co-writer.

Prince revealed during a 2010 radio interview that Nicks offered him a writing credit, but he politely turned it down because Nicks played him a finished song. He said he didn't compose any part of it. Little Red Corvette inspired the song, for sure, but Prince also noted that he also did not even play on the finished track. He contributed to the final version by re-programming the drum machines, which Nicks was struggling with. During interviews, Nicks told reporters that Prince "added this great little part," as a way of side-stepping tech talk she was unsure of. Just to add to the confusion, Sendu1984 recently added an ASCAP page as a more Wikipedia-appropriate source for Nicks's writing credit, but the current version of that page also lists Prince next to a [1] footnote with the following text:

This work has been removed from the ASCAP Repertory except with respect to final written license agreements in effect on the following date(s) (corresponding to each interest referenced above):

Live performances

The article previously said, "The most recent live performance of the song in Nicks' solo shows is captured in the 2009 CD release The Soundstage Sessions ...." That would mean that Nicks had not performed "Stand Back" live since she recorded The Soundstage Sessions (which was recorded in 2007). However, the article indicates that she also performed the song on Fleetwood Mac's Unleashed tour in 2009 and the band's world tour in 2013; 24 Karat Gold Tour says that Nicks also included the song in her solo tour which was in 2016-2017. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:02, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
