Alan Stang was hardly a viable source for an article about Levison. He was a member of and speaker and writer for a major fomenter of conspiracy theories, the John Birch Society^[1], and the author of a biography of its founder^[2]. This organization promoted, among other bizarre theories, the notion that President Eisenhower was a tool of the Communists: "With regard to ... Correction Parting the Waters is NOT biography of Dr. King[edit]

In the first paragraph of the preface of “parting the water” it states “Strictly speaking, this book is not a biography of Nartin Luther King, Jr., though he is at its heart.” 2601:481:0:B360:716A:DFC1:6F2D:536 (talk) 23:39, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
