Staaar-glider[edit]

It was common at the time for Rainbird's games to include a tape cassette, with a version of the theme tune produced with studio instruments. I had Starglider 2 and Carrier Command for the Sinclair Spectrum, which came with music tapes (the latter had an actual song, with vocals); I didn't have the original Starglider, however, and so I can't confirm if it had a tape or not. I suspect it didn't, although the 16-bit version of the theme tune sounds as if it was sampled from a studio performance (the Spectrum theme music was very different, although memorably good). The best source I can find doesn't mention a tape, but then again it doesn't mention a tape for Carrier Command or Starglider 2 either. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 22:28, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have a near-mint copy of the Spectrum version. No provision for a music tape, but a novella which may be worth mentioning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.70.230.145 (talk) 02:45, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion[edit]

More detail on the the game would be welcome, especially the myriad of enemies featured. The eponymous "starglider" is that flapping yellow birdlike thing isn't it? 2fort5r (talk) 16:55, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification tag[edit]

I've removed the clarification tag, as the source simply states "Commodore games" with no clarification of whether they're Vic-20, C64 or Amiga. It should be taken that the catch-all term refers to everything in the Commodore stable. Chaheel Riens (talk) 13:23, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
