$14 million[edit]

I don't know how much you want to believe this article: [1], but there it claims that the amount paid was considerably smaller than the common figures ($10-12 million). The Stones (the article claims) leaked the large figure in order to set a price for future song licensing deals. Richard W.M. Jones 17:48, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

v. Thunder Island[edit]

Probably should note the similarity between Start Me Up and Thunder Island, by Jay Ferguson. Especially the opening, uncanny. Cutugno (talk) 19:06, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Could the similarities between those two songs explain why the Stones briefly shelved this song in 1976-77? WikiPro1981X (talk) 13:37, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics[edit]

Anyone against deleting some (if not all) of the lyrics from this page? There are a lot featured and it's really not that complicated a song where it needs to be broken down in such a manner. And, yes, I realize I was the first to put lyrics on the page. Stan weller (talk) 00:49, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
