Leadership transition(s)[edit]

UMU's leadership is in transition; not sure how best to represent that in the article. Typically in an article such as this there is mention of recent top administrators. In this case, Dr. David R. Smith, M.D., has served as President from 2006 until present. He reportedly 'intends to submit his resignation', but there is not yet any official notice that this has taken place; this may well just be a matter of time. Seems to be resolved, for now anyway: the UMU website lists only Dr. Eastwood. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 21:02, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dr. Danielle Laraque-Arena commenced her appointment as president of UMU in January 2016. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 12:44, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Again in transition: President Laroque-Arena has resigned, effective December 22, 2018.[1]. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 13:48, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alumni and professors[edit]

The following entries were removed from the "Notable alumni and professors" section of the article, due to lack of reliable, third-party sources verifying notability. This is not to suggest that the individuals are not notable, simply that additional documentation is needed for inclusion with the article.

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of State University of New York Upstate Medical University's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:46, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
