Deletion[edit]

User:RossPatterson proposed that this article be deleted on 2006-10-08, giving "Not encyclopedic" as the only motivation. I am objecting to this proposal, and am also requesting more detailed motivation than that. As far as I can tell, the program is widely known and used by everybody participating in the GPL3 process, which is a significant subset of all software users and producers in the world. They might not necessarily know its name, but they have all used it and know its features. As to the article itself, I have now expanded it somewhat. --193.11.177.69 16:22, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beaten by GNU Emacs?[edit]

On 21 November 2007, Kuhn announced that SFLC released stet under the Affero General Public License, making stet the first program known to have been used in the generation of its own software license.

I would be surprised if GNU Emacs didn't beat it at this. If this is changed to "known to have originated as a tool for creating its own software license" it would probably be accurate. Hairy Dude (talk) 20:02, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Co-ment[edit]

At the end of "history" section there is a mention of "Co-ment" having similar functionality. It seems rather random to mention this one alternative, it might imply that it's made but the same person/team, which I don't think it is. Capturts (talk) 01:19, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
