Hmmmmn, I wrote the article, and I can see only one paragraph that was taken directly from the Councilman's website - the one beginning with "With the addition of a third child...". And I think you will agree that there is nothing in this paragraph that any reasonable person would consider "political advertising". The fact is that Steve Mitchell was the Mayor and is still a Councilmember of a city of 100,000 people in Texas, which makes the article about him a valid entry for Wikipedia.
I am removing the tag that you added, unless you can better justify to me your belief that the entire article was taken directly from the Councilman's website when it obviously wasn't.
