Unclear statement[edit]

“Stingray Music closed on Ziggo in the Netherlands. It has been replaced by Xite Music.[7]”

Does that mean that Stingray bought Ziggo? Or does it mean Stingray became competitive with Ziggo? Is it jargon? Or is it simply poor grammar? Could it be a mistranslation?

Who exactly did Xite replace? Does it refer to Stingray or Ziggo? Use of the passive voice makes this unclear.

Since the the page deals with a European company I acknowledge that it might have been written by someone whose first language is not English. That is not a criticism. I’m sure I would make far more errors if I tried to write it in, say, French or German. But I am able to point out problems in English. I regret I am unable to speak Dutch so I can’t check the reference given for more information. Will someone more knowledgable please fix this. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 13:27, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
