Stockholm-Skavsta Airport → Stockholm Skavsta Airport – Why is there a hyphen here? Sources don't do that, and it doesn't make sense. Dicklyon (talk) 03:47, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That would be OK, too, but your link shows that many of those sources that say "Skavsta Airport" have it as part of "Stockholm Skavsta Airport". The more complete term seems more recognizable and precise. Dicklyon (talk) 05:51, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There's a split with "Stockholm's Skavsta Airport", "Stockholm-Skavsta Airport", "Stockholm–Skavsta Airport" , "Stockholm — Skavsta Airport" , "Stockholm Skavsta Airport" , "Skavsta Airport" , "Skavsta airport" - all showing up in the results. This way, we don't have to figure out what punctuation is popular, since hyphen, mdash, ndash, appostrophe possession, space , are all used. -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 09:33, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We would not, in any case, need to "figure out what punctuation is popular", since the WP:MOS gives us guidance on how to punctuate things based on what they signify. I think the space is the only thing that makes sense here (and it's also the only one that's common, so I doubt that anyone would propose an alternative). The MOS does not determine titles, WP:TITLE does, and that is determined by common use, so yes which punctuation is popular be it a space or something else, is important. Apteva (talk) 01:09, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
