The main theater???[edit]

Is the first sentence which claims that the theater is the main theater in Delaware true? I find this hard to believe. It wasn't the main theater when I was a student (in fact it was converted into a dance hall in the late 80's---which isn't referenced here.) I find it hard to believe that it is the "main theater." What I do not find hard to believe is that it is the main theater used by OWU students. We would walk there every weekend. I would also find it easy to believe that it is the main independent theater in Delaware. I know that when I lived there, there was a major multiplex on the south part of town. But to say the main theater in a city you have to be able to support that statement.

Also, isn't the Strand partially owned by OWU now? When it was converted to the dance club, I remember that OWU became a partner---the owner was finding it difficult to compete with the big chain theaters.---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 18:01, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The only theater in Delaware.[edit]

The other multiplex in Delaware closed a while back. The Strand is now the only theater in Delaware. The Strand is now owned by a board of directors. I dont believe the Strand was ever converted into a dance hall. The Side theater opened in the 80s I believe. I currently work at the Strand and I have never heard of this.
