Mr. McCormick Death

removed this uselss section. you know, it is possible that more than one person in South Park has the family name McCormick (example, in Lil Crime Stoppers the meth lab workers reference "the Mccormicks:). did you actually watch the episode? did that fat guy look like Stuart? i didn't think so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.130.55.138 (talk) 09:23, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

What about in episode 6, season 1. I'm pretty sure I heard Mr. McCormick being the name of the first person to be catapulted into the building. --Drenton
I'd say it was a different Mr. McCormick. Similar attire, but his facial stucture and hair was different. They might have been brothers, but they certainly were not one-and-the-same. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 02:25, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Carol's age

If Kenny is 9 and she had him at age 16, shouldn't that make her 25, rather than 29?

Furthermore, while I may have forgotten something, I have no recollection of it ever being stated on the show that Stuart is 33 years old. But if he is, then should we not mention in Gerald and Sheila's article that Gerald is around 33, since they were best friends in high school before that "falling-out". Carol?

Actually, she isn't Carol. The name "Carol" in the "Cripple Fight" episode belong to wife of new scout leader, not to Stuart's wife. Look for it again and do your summary. Fleutist 22:40, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

The name Carol seems to have stuck with most fans, and it is often used as a throwaway name for other female characters, which means there's a chancde it'll be used for her at one point. She is almost universally known as Carol to fans as of now, and I feel it would be a bit better to use a fan-coined name in this case than 'Mrs. McCormick'. I've heard the line from Cripple Fight and do feel while it probably is referring to Mr. Grazier's wife, it could still be taken to refer to Mrs. McCormick. --67.162.31.148 (talk) 02:10, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Mr & Mrs McCormick.jpg

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Original research.

Namely in the section on their daughter. It says that when Matt Stone was asked of her, he said he hadn't previously known she existed. Then it also says that he refers to her as Karen. Either someone has lied just to get what they want said, said, or else someone has major referencing to do. And citing a person, like they did in Kenny McCormick ain't gonna cut it. A citation to the interview or FAQ questioning in which this took place will need to be added, or else I'm going to remove all that. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 23:35, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

The "Karen" part was added first, I'd say the 'News to him' stuff must be the Vandalism. On another note, I've seen "Cripple Fight" and never heard Kenny's dad say Carol. However, Carol is a major throwaway name and might've been used at another point for her. --JohnVMaster (talk) 22:45, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Pictures

Just thought I'd ask - Have I finally added pics to an article that are useful? I added both pics fyi --JohnVMaster (talk) 04:15, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Grandpa McCormick?

Kenny has a grandfather to whom he gives a sensual full body massage to for money in the episode Fat Camp during the "Krazy Kenny Show", shouldn't he be included in the article? 98.66.225.219 (talk) 03:32, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Big cleanup

My first South Park character article mega-cleanup in a while...here's what I did:
1) Requested citations for their ages (before the edit, someone said she was 16 when she had Kenny, so that would put her in the 24-25 range; anyone know which episode in which this was mentioned?)
2) Added animation note to opening and removed OR about how Carol's first name was determined (it was incorrect, anyway - side note: Mrs. McCormick has never been mentioned by name, but I left the article alone as if her name was Carol just to simplify things for now, I'll try to address the other posts on this page discussing this issue and try to determine how to handle it)
3) Removed inconsequential notes such as the ones about which direction the arrow on the "I'm With Stupid" shirt points, how Carol wears fake fur to church, why Cartman was a cop, etc.
4) Removed long, pointless passages about trivial stuff such as several sentences about how in one episode there was also another character named Stuart, and an entire paragraph detailing where Kevin McCormick sat while he attended Cirque de Soleil-ish event
5) Removed short bios on Kenny and Kevin (Kenny has his own articles, Kevin has a short bio on a minor characters list), tried to go into more about their relationship as sons to Stuart and Carol, who the article is about, after all
6) Removed unsourced OR concerning "Karen" McCormick (read earlier posts on this page) and the unsourced WW/OR Ike/Kenny's sister thing
7) Removed "fictional Republicans" category; neither Stuart nor Carol have been explicitly stated as being such (if I'm wrong; let me know!), when editing I tend to say a character tends to have either liberal or conservative views (followed by episode citations which serve as examples) rather than saying what their political affiliation is outright; Stuart was seen clashing with the anti-war protesters in one episode, but aside from that there's really no explicit proof, and assuming some of his traits make him a Republican is POV/OR

8) Rearranged, re-worded, and consolidated all that was left and added citations (mostly episode cites) and also added the "TV in universe" tag

Article could still use more work, particularly more "real world" info Anyway, as usual, please post thoughts, disagreements, suggestions, etc. - SoSaysChappy (talk) 13:52, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
