1953 Starliner photo[edit]

Can someone please add information on the "Commander Starliner", the 1953 Raymond Loewy-designed coupe? A photograph is in the article, but no reference is made to it in the text. Respectfully, SamBlob 22:50, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noted the in-article statement that this vehicle (and also the pictured 1950 model) were not Commanders but Champions. On the 1953, the name Champion is clearly visible on the grille, so I have removed it. Maybe someone with more knowledge than I can do the same with the 1950 pic, but I hope they can both be replaced by photos of authentic Commanders. (C'mon, fellow Stude buffs, get into it!) Also, I've opened the article out into sections—and I hope this will give other editors the incentive to add much more detail to this important article. Notes[edit]

What is up with this? : p258  Put it in the footnote, huh? TREKphiler hit me ♠ 22:07, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is mine, and it's taken from the footnote guidelines. When you make several citations from a book like this, you have to give page numbers. If you can do it more neatly, feel free to have a go. Cheers Bjenks (talk) 14:27, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Champion pic[edit]

I see we have a Champion pic on this Commander page. OK, we haven't got a '50 Commander pic, so why use anything at all? I suggest we remove it. Commments? Bjenks (talk) 14:30, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
