Popularity and reports[edit]

It is a popular german-language website (popular in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France...). Many media reports about it (Bild, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Welt, Titanic (magazine)... see weblinks). It is much bigger than the German version of Uncyclopedia --22:54, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Regarding the "media reports", there is yet to be a citation within this article. That is one of the critiques that needs to be addressed. No "press release" cited as reference, no citation.
In other words, "what media reports?" Cite please. --Animeronin (talk) 17:25, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This article doesn't have a lot of reliable sources-why was it kept twice? Egebwc (talk) 02:59, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Slogan translation[edit]

Yes, "Bescheid wissen" can mean "to know the score" (i.e. to know what's going on (col./ugs. or idiom), but in this case I believe it is better to use "do you know what's going on" (i.e. "to be in the know"). What do you think about changing it to "Do you know what's going on? No? Neither do we!"? ~ TheSun (talk) 18:21, 30 April 2010 (UTC) ~[reply]

  • Naw, its kind of funny because it sounds like a polite question. So you can't actually translate it without loosing it's joke, I would just leave it like it and put a "Excuse me, do..." infront of it. 'What's going on' would be too casual. --118.208.207.13 (talk) 03:22, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect to Uncyclopedia[edit]

Stupidedia is the bavarian version fo Uncyclopedia, it should not have its own article --Helder Oliveira (talk) 23:58, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Utter nonsense. First, it's obviously not a bavarian wiki, but a German-language one. Second, it is independent of Uncyclopedia (there is a German version of Uncyclopedia, by the way.) --Schuhpuppe (talk) 10:54, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you see http://uncyclopedia.info/wiki/Main_Page you'll see that Stupidedia is listed as the Boarisch (bar:) version of Uncyclopedia, therefore it is an Uncyc and does not deserve its own article, but a section at Uncyclopedia --189.82.66.17 (talk) 20:32, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then Uncyclopedia is lying. Or rather, joking. The site is known to do that occcasionaly. Also, Stupidedia simply is not in Bavarian. I reverted your redirect. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 22:07, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm against a redirect to this article, but Helder Olivera has right. We have listed it as bar: just to give an interwiki name for it | CartoonistHenning (talk) 02:01, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is not Bavarian, it is Austrian. Austria is an independent State, while Bavaria is a province of Germany. While they have a similar culture, as Bavaria and Austria are in the Alps, you can contrast Austria with Germany, while you can't really contrast Bavaria with Germany (thought many Bavarians as secessionists). --79.200.79.25 (talk) 19:23, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Don't you already understand it's joke? Please keep reality and fiction apart. I don't like the offensive stuff either, but that's how it is. --94.217.98.108 (talk) 11:10, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
