In the Tidewater, Va, area during the early 70’s, Sugarloaf got a lot of FM air play with their Green Eyed Lady song. But it was the album cut “Tongue In Cheek” that was the real hit at the parties, especially if you had the long version. Today our local classic rock station spins Green Eyed Lady on a regular basis, but it’s almost impossible to hear Tongue In Cheek. In fact, the DJ’s are not old enough to remember it. Quite a shame because to me it’s their best effort.

This article needs a disambiguation page link on the page for "Sugarloaf." Shouldn't have to specify "(band)" on this. O0drogue0o 09:01, 20 September 2007 (UTC)am[reply]

This fails to mention that James O Thompson was the original drummer, and still is an awesome one. I have the ablbum with that photo and it's very rare. Also James Thompson was the road manager for Van Halen and Head East. Go DAD!

Myron Pollock was the original drummer and was part of Chocolate Hair before they became Sugarloaf.24.8.160.75 (talk) 05:15, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

I have some pics of album covers and personnel. Can't find how to add them. Please advise. Jopower (talk) 12:54, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't Call Us, We'll Call You[edit]

There appears to be a REDIRECT problem with the article about the 1975 song by Sugarloaf. If you want to read about the song, you get redirected back to the main page of this article. Is there any way to fix it so it points to an article on the song instead of the band? 216.99.198.25 (talk) 05:29, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How many versions of Don't Call Us were recorded? Are there any live versions? 216.99.198.25 (talk) 05:32, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Exterior Links[edit]

I hope you will add the Sugarloaf group page link on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=112803025408528 Jopower (talk) 12:54, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Yeazel[edit]

The member info on Bob shows 1973. I thought he was on the Spaceship Earth album which contained the tune "Tongue in Cheek" which is dated 1971. As I do not have detailed knowledge of the group I was wondering if this is an error or if my remembrance is. Thoughts?THX1136 (talk) 15:12, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

An overdue thanks to the editor that cleared up the discrepancy of the 1973 date attribution for Yeazel.THX1136 (talk) 14:43, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disk, Satisfaction Guaranteed[edit]

Sugarloaf's cut was not a hit. But this was a hit,but varied, for Harlowe, a Canadian disco group 78-80. Please check. JS 2601:145:8003:2930:5031:632:624B:AC99 (talk) 23:18, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
