Bobby Goldsboro’s 1973 single “Summer (the first time)”[edit]

Very surprised that this ‘iconic’ track by a well known singer did not get a separate wiki entry. Whilst his earlier single, “Honey”, from 1968, reached number 1 and does indeed merit an entry, it does seem somewhat strange that this piece does not get any recognition that it perhaps deserves. I have created an entry for it. Mandtplatt (talk) 17:10, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Summer (the first time) and Dolannes Melodie[edit]

Strange, there is nothing to read about the similarities of the music in Bobby Goldsboro's Summer (the first time) and the French instrumental Dolannes Melodie from Olivier Toussaint, Paul de Senneville, and the trumpet player Jean-Claude Borelly. Dolannes Melodie is from 1975, and I guess O. Toussaint and P. de Senneville were very touched by B. Goldsboro's Summer (the first time) and decided to add the distinct and ear-catching piano riff from Summer (the first time) into their Dolannes Melodie. Is there someone in the music-land of Wikipedia who could tell us much more about these similarities? DannyCaes (talk) 09:59, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added a sentence aboyt the similarity. We'll see if it survives. Nikolaj1905 (talk) 12:29, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
