Project will not be moving forward as it was planned[edit]

The project was turned down by Surrey city council on Monday, November 5, 2018. While the mayors' council still has it approved, it will nto get any further approval in Surrey, and that is needed to 1) rip-up Hawthorne Park to make way for the realigned 104 Avenue, and 2) do any work on King George Boulevard and all of its proposed realignments. Since council is opposed to it, none of that is happening. Period. No need to keep this in the present tense. If the project is resurrected, it will be after this mayor and council leave office and will have to be re-budgeted. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:09, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"TransLink stopped work on LRT as soon as Surrey city council voted to cancel the project", per CBC. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:19, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
