Copyvio[edit]

A large amount of text (especially history) was copied word for word from the organisation website. For example, parts of this history. -- Whpq 16:18, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seattle Competition[edit]

I'm going to be attending the annual competition this year as a spectator - it's in Seattle. Any other Wikimedians going either as spectators or competitors? Witty Lama 21:00, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a section on the breakaway group and the "Harmony International" attempts[edit]

I'll dig around for where my material on this is, but in the meantime ... there needs to be a section about the split-off of Harmony Incorporated in the 1950s over a (brief) period of segregationist by-laws, and another about SAI's ill-fated attempt to update its image by changing its name "Harmony International." Interesting. There used to be a note about this, but sometime between 2009 and today it was removed. Time to comb through the History. Dpbsmith (talk) 21:52, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It was removed with no edit comment, no explanation, and no discussion. The diff is here. I'm going to put it back, with a reference to a printed book (Gage Averill's Four Parts, No Waiting). Dpbsmith (talk) 21:57, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"List of SAI quartet champions" merge[edit]

An editor (who invests primarily in getting articles deleted) has proposed merging List of Sweet Adelines International quartet champions by year with this article. I'm undecided regarding the change, and seek ideas on how the 65-quartet list can best be merged, or others' opinions on whether it should remain a separate article. —ADavidB 00:11, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm late to the conversation, but after a LOT of work I've just launched Sweet Adelines International competition and redirected that list to the new page. Wittylama 14:09, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
