Unaccreditied[edit]

I see someone undid my changes about the school being unaccredited....--Super (talk) 05:09, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is this an ad? I placed a new citation in the article--72.26.10.75 (talk) 23:08, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The institution appears to be accredited. ACBSP lists them as accredited and ACBSP is recognized by CHEA. So unless one of those websites is wrong or outdated this institution is currently accredited in the United States, at least for its business programs (does it offer anything else?). ElKevbo (talk) 02:30, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ACBSP is a programmatic accreditation. In Europe an educational institution need's to be listed in the Ministry of Education of the respected country they are registered for business. SMC University had never the HEdA-u from the Swiss Accreditation Council AAQ (OQA before 2015). Which means the exams, degrees, qualifications , titles offered by said Institution generally speaking can not pass the verification or official use to gain an edge over other prospects, if said degrees are awarded by SMC on their own.
Private programmatic accreditation does not have universal world wide accreditation to provide legal based degrees over said countries MoE. Hence the programmatic naming. ErrgoProxy (talk) 21:04, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

SMC University[edit]

All of the information on this page relates specifically to the Swiss Management Center's sole educational endeavor, SMC University, whose programs are accredited by ACBSP. I have created a redirect page for SMC University to this page, but I am of the opinion that it should in fact be the reverse: Swiss Management Center should redirect to SMC University, with all of the current information included on the SMS University page, plus a blurb/link to the Swiss Management Center's website. This would be accomplished most easily by re-naming this page to SMC University and creating a Swiss Management Center redirect page.
