Awesome find Bobdoe! Furthermore the photos were found in a shoebox, abandonware license FTW! Now we just need to figure out a way to bring them into context in the article for display. In the meantime I'm going to external link the bottom of the article to the images and photoshop around a bit and see if I can bring more quality out of the items themselves. Reading the Clues[edit]

Any information on how to actually read the clues, i.e. finding the right word in the right panel of the comic book? I've read two walkthroughs of the Earthworld game and it still escapes me how you're supposed to take those numbers and figure out a)what the word is and b)what objects to leave in what room. The game periodically spit out pairs of numbers when you had the right combination of objects in a room. The first number was the page of the comic to look on, and the second number was the panel on that page. Hence '13 6' meant look on page 13, panel 6 for a hidden word in the artwork. Clear enough? I played in the competition for Swordquest Fireworld, so I feel qualified to answer this. Citation on speculation[edit]

Is this really necessary? Jack Tramiel may or may not have the two other prizes, but since no one knows I propose either the sentences be removed or the citations be removed. You can't prove it one way or the other so somethings gotta give.

Chalice Update[edit]

Sentence makes no sense[edit]

In the Plot paragraph for Earthworld is the sentence "Their parents were slain by King Tyrannus's guards, prompted by a prophecy by the king's wizard Konjuro reveals a prophecy that." This sentence doesn't make any sense. It would be nice if someone could rewrite it. The Crown[edit]

Clues and Comic Book[edit]

The article currently says, "Each of the games came with a comic book that explained the plot, as well as containing part of the solution to a major puzzle that had to be solved to win the contest."

No they did not. Do we have a reference to that? I bought Swordquest: Fireworld back when it came out (and still have it). There was no comic book, and no hint. (It was an incomprehensible game and I rue the fact I spent hours trying to figure it out.) value of prizes vs cost to atari[edit]

in the promotional material for the contest it regularly references that the prizes were "produced at a cost of $25,000" each. I think this is a bit different from saying that the prizes were worth $25,000 each.
