Style.com[edit]

I came across Sybarites on Style.com, and Haute Doll Magazine at Barnes and Noble. When I ran the word Sybarite through Wikipedia, nothing came up for the dolls. With just a bit of googling, I found out more about them and decided to do a wiki entry. I also heard there will be an article in French Vogue about the dolls. They are considered art. They are mentioned alongside Dollfies (which have a wiki entry of their own- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollfie) and fashion dolls like Momoko (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Momoko_Doll), and are part of the BJD scene (ball jointed doll - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball-jointed_doll) - which is a huge collector scene in Japan. Recently, the dolls were shown at Jeffrey New York. I did not consider the entry to be advertising or spam - only information about what these mannequins popping up in magazines and shops in NYC are. If this entry is not deleted, I am going to be adding the references: Nancy MacDonnell "Guys and Dolls". (Aug. 1, 2007). Style.com. Beth Losier, "Super Obsession with Superdoll". (June 1, 2006). Haute Doll Magazine. Charles Fegen, "Ban the Hunt Not My Lifestyle", (November/December issue) Haute Doll Magazine. and the WWD reference (Women's Wear Daily) once I locate the page numbers.
