Linux Format[edit]

Followup to above comment: the article was published; discussed in news post and forums. As the article author, I hope to get a PDF up soon, to which we can link on the Wikipedia page. As an aside, I'm intrigued that a small but very active operating system project can be 'proposed for deletion' as per Wikipedia's guidelines! Well, the thing is, anyone can propose an article for deletion, it doesn't mean that much .. the article didn't make mention of why it's at all interesting or notable, so it's easy to assume that it's just a vanity software article, and everyone in the AfD did vote to keep it. :) --Fuzzie (talk) 22:24, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date[edit]

The website and software info box both state that v0.6.1 was released on May 21st, but the article says "The latest version is 0.6.1, released on May 10, 2006." So which was it? -- Jeremyharmon 20:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

UNIX-like?[edit]

Is AtheOS/Syllable AmigaOS-like? According to [this source] "there is not one thing (except the window border-look) resembling the (classic) AmigaOS in AtheOS" (Kurt Skauen). As I see neither AtheOS or Syllable are AmigaOS-like. 17:59, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

ABrowse merger[edit]

At the moment, there's a question to whether or not ABrowse is notable enough to have its own article. As it appears to be Syllable's default web browser, I think it may have a chance. I'd say ABrowse is notable enough: it uses WebKit and was the first browser outside of the KDE project to use the KHTML engine. If browsers such as abaco or Skiptone are considered notable, so should ABrowse. What the ABrowse article really needs is a clean up and better content, which is something I intend to do. If Konquerer gets its own separate article independent of KDE - even though it's in-separably linked to the K Desktop Environment (runs within it - and depends upon some common KDE packages); combined with the fact that KDE isn't even a freestanding operating system - whereas Syllable is, means that Abrowse is more than qualified to be housed on an independent article. -User:Anonymous:Nobody —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.28.194.51 (talk) 21:05, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slashdot coverage[edit]

AtheOS[edit]

I can see the link to AtheOS just redirects back to this page. The discussion about deleting that page decided to redirect it here, maybe with the plan to add an AtheOS section in the history. Can some of the information from that page just be copied and shrunk into a section here?
