I noticed that almost every lyric page gets the lyrics for Pillow Talk wrong by including the nonsensical lines:

'My friends tell me wrong from right, I'm going to borrow their PANTS [my emphasis] some dark and lonely night'

The correct lyric is:

'I'm going to borrow their PAD [my emphasis] some dark and lonely night.'

This almost universal error seems germane to an online Sylvia bio insofar as 'Pillow Talk' is her one signature hit, so it's not only funny but ironic that almost everyone gets it wrong.

Removed redundency: Article twice mentions she released the song Pillow Talk in 1973

Atricle stated:

"As a solo performer and billed as Sylvia (not to be confused with the country singer of the same name) she released the single "Pillow Talk" in 1973, a song she had originally hoped would be recorded by Al Green, who turned it down, because it was too risqué, and against his religion. She eventually recorded "Pillow Talk" and released it in 1973."

I reworded this part of the article as follows, and included the record label mention:

"As a solo performer and billed as Sylvia (not to be confused with the country singer of the same name) she recorded and released the single "Pillow Talk" on the Vibration label in 1973. She had originally hoped Pillow Talk would be recorded by Al Green. But he who turned it down, because it was too risqué, and against his religion."

Sylvia's Pillow Talk was released on the "Vibration" label. I have verified the label name in the Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits, 7th Edition by Joel Whitburn (Pg 619). GaryZ45RPM (talk) 13:54, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

I looked at the 45 RPM record and right below the "Vibration" name it says "A div. of All Platinum Records". (I thought so.) This should be added to the All Platinum Records topic if more info on the Vibration label can be found. GaryZ45RPM (talk) 17:05, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Pillow Talk Rhythm Line

The sentence in this article referring to "Pillow Talk" being used in subsequent songs:

The drumming rhythm would reappear in 1985 on Kate Bush's "Running Up that Hill", then again in 1987 on Fleetwood Mac's "Big Love".

needs substantiating or at least a citation. Where does that info come from? I do not hear what they are hearing in the later songs, so this sounds dubious. Marriage

In one section it says she divorced Joe Robinson in 1987, then in the next it says she was married to him until his death in 2000. Which is it? RickW7x2 (talk) 09:16, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Conflicting remarks need to be corrected

The article states that Sylvia divorced her husband Joe, but in the next section states that she was married to him until his death in 2000. Ericaevonne (talk) 08:25, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
