Not quite sure how to edit Symphonic Dances (Rachmaninoff) page. I did so to the best of my ability, and added my source. Would appreciate someone cleaning it up if it is felt to be necessary. I thought the actual quote from my source would be interesting, but then again perhaps it would be out-of-proportion to the rest of the page, so I left it as just a single sentence.24.177.252.140 (talk) 03:52, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not bad; cleaned it up a bit. Might do with a bit more support for conclusions, but overall quite good. It's a hell of a piece (the dances). Kortoso (talk) 05:16, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recordings[edit]

Mitropoulos definitely conducted the work with the NYPO in 1942, but if any recording was made (either broadcast or studio), I have never seen any indication of its existence. Actually I've never seen a hint in any discography of a studio recording of this piece by Mitropoulos (whether in NY, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, or elsewhere) and it certainly didn't appear in Sony's complete Mitropoulos Columbia box set if it exists. There is a broadcast from January 1950 (with NYPO) which has recently appeared on a couple CD labels, though. 100.14.123.190 (talk) 18:40, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
