Name[edit]

The recording I'm listening to (Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra, Adam Fisher) attributes the name Tempora mutuntor to number 68. Is this an error? — Iadmctalk  15:08, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think that's an error. Is there any attribution who wrote that? Ádám Fischer himself (who should know better) or someone else? Or maybe be you misread it? This YouTube clip shows Fischer's No. 64 with the epithet, as does this tracklist. However, if you listen to it on Spotify, you might see Fischer's No. 68 labelled "Tempora mutantor" (sic), which is twice wrong. Hint: for streaming classical music, Apple Music Classical (free with Apple Music) is vastly superior, but even on Spotify, the Harnoncourt/Concertgebouw recording is probably better. (Nitpick: it's "tempora mutantur".) -- Michael Bednarek (talk)
