Cleanup required[edit]

Page is a mess, mostly links to other articles. It should be rewritten or at least re-structurized. mic 21:04, February 27, 2006

Part of the problem is that some of the meanings of "synchronization" are so different that it does not make sense to handle all in one article. "Synchronous communication" redirects to here. That makes no sense. My suggestion is that the only meanings that should be treated here are those covering the (one-shot or continual) act of establishing or maintaining a common clock or clock rate for several processes. Other meanings should be referred to, either by a referral preceding the lead paragraph, or by a "See also". Lambiam ^Talk 08:43, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With the large See also section, this page appears to be well on it's way towards becoming a disambiguation page. I'm good with that. I think Clock synchronization can absorb the remaining specific content on this page. --Kvng (talk) 16:25, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Synchronization vs. Synchronisation[edit]

We want to be consistent about spelling as per WP:ENGVAR. The title of the article is Synchronization (with redirect from Synchronisation). Text in the article uses synchronisation. I'm inclined to go with the spelling in the title. Any dissent? --Kvng (talk) 16:20, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
