Unnecessary lists[edit]

There is no need to add a complete and detailed directory of parishes and clergy to this article. The exarchate's own website is the proper home for that material, and the purpose of Wikipedia is not to duplicate an organization's own website. --Chonak (talk) 02:25, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting a preposition: "in Long Island"[edit]

An anonymous editor writes that the Mar Ivanios Center is located "in Long Island". This is not standard English usage.

Because Long Island is an island, the correct preposition is "on". To say that the Center is "in Long Island" would mean that it is underground.

History material copied from diocesan website[edit]

On 31 January 2011, I deleted some history text from the article. The material was copied from the Exarchate's website, and is therefore a copyright violation. In order to use this material, it must be rewritten, summarized, or paraphrased. --Chonak (talk) 19:49, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
