Not Happened yet[edit]

Slammiversary has not happened yet, this page talks as though the event has already happened. I think that is something that needs to be changed. BXCanada (talk) 19:17, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge article with TNA[edit]

This article should be merged, because it just has one inductee it should be merged with the TNA, the ECW Arena has more Hall of Fame inductees, which is like an ECW Hall of Fame, and yet it's not notable enough for a page of its own, so I don't think this is notable enough YET (maybe 10 years time) for its own page--123.211.16.234 (talk) 10:58, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kurt Angle[edit]

Please leave in the note about Angle winning the IWGP title.

1. He won the title while under TNA contract

2. The title was recognized by TNA, and defended on TNA PPV (Hard Justice (2007))

3. It played a part in an important chapter in Angle's TNA career when he held it, the TNA World Title, the X Division Title, and both tag straps all at the same time.

Thank you. (talk) Vjmlhds 03:14, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Inducted by[edit]

I see another edit war is going on, this time over this issue. I agree with HHH, we shouldn't mention "Inducted by" because unlike other HOFs, TNA inducts one guy a year and their induction ceremonies have a bunch of people speak, not just one inductor.LM2000 (talk) 01:24, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was WP:BOLD and removed it but ClassicOnAStick put it back. Any opinions on whether this is useful?LM2000 (talk) 05:03, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it should be removed, they only induct one person every year and there is really no one person who inducts them. It's kinda pointless really. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" (talk) 03:03, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, we haven't sources about inducted by. I saw the Sting induction. Luger, Hogan and Carter talked about him, but I think TNA doesn't choose one person to induct him. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 11:56, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment — This rationale is blatant in assuming that our article titles should mirror the marketing strategy of the article subject and/or associated entities. I'm quite familiar with WP:COMMONNAME and perhaps more importantly how it's been abused over the years. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 17:34, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wait until January 13, or at least until the RM at Impact Wrestling has concluded. 162 etc. (talk) 17:42, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Both have now come and gone...let's get on with this already, as there's no more excuses not to moce the article Vjmlhds (talk) 23:19, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    • No more excuses? Perhaps sources? Article titles fall under policy, as opposed to guidelines and essays. As such, it's supposed to be given greater weight. In case you didn't click on the link I provided, here's the relevant excerpt: "Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it generally prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable, English-language sources)". In other words, 1) article subjects don't get to determine article titles; and 2) you haven't provided a rationale which suggests anything other than that, or is compliant with policy. Worse yet, you believe that repeatedly agitating on the matter is an acceptable substitute for complying with policy. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 04:03, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
