What date in 1912?[edit]

This article states that the Earnslaw's maiden voyage to Queenstown was on 24 February 1912. A plaque commemorating the ship's building close to Dunedin Railway Station claims its maiden voyage was on 18 October 1912. Which is correct? Grutness...wha? 03:25, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have clarified the narrative in the History section. The vessel was re-assembled and first launched at Kingston on 24 February 1912, but it took until October to complete the construction, undertake trials, and have the maiden voyage to Queenstown on 18 October 1912.Marshelec (talk) 18:51, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lloyd's Register[edit]

I have had a brief look into the archives of Lloyd's Register. So far, I have found a listing for TS Earnslaw in 1960 [1], and in 1971 [2]. However, it is far from clear that listing on the register was continued. I can't find it in 1981, or in 1991. It might be necessary to remove the claim about it being the last coal-fired passenger vessel on the register.-- Marshelec (talk) 03:03, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Marshelec The latest I could find it registered on the register was for 1978 [3], I think it would be worth deleting this claim. Chexmin (talk) 19:33, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
