Service Area[edit]

The main reason I made the changes in regards to template position, etc. is the fact that the station primarily covers Winchester, which is within the Washington, Dc market (see this map). The fact that it is available on WHSV's digital signal is secondary, as TV3 Winchester does not primarily serve Harrisonburg, which is served by WHSV itself.

If you decide to keep TV 3 Winchester as a strictly-Harrisonburg station, you might as well make Springfield, Massachusetts' WSHM-LP a Hartford station, as they use WFSB's digital signal. Same goes for all other similar stations. -- azumanga 01:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This, while true, will change soon. WHSV requested that Winchester City and Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah, and Page counties be made part of the Harrisonburg DMA. This was approved by the FCC, and since WHSV-DT3 will be seen in Harrisonburg, which has always been in the Harrisonburg DMA, WHSV-DT3 (the DT signal of TV3 Winchester) is technically a Harrisonburg station.

To settle this, I am going to make TV3 Winchester a Washington, DC and Harrisonburg station, since it serves in both DMAs. - SVRTVDude 04:16, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Based on that, I've added a special aparagraph on that page that explains the market situation. Thanks. -- azumanga 15:55, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem. I probably should have explained that first off instead of switching it back with no explanation. Sorry about that. - Rock on....SVRTVDude 21:04, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
