Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it does not violate CSD A7 or G11. It is not advertising at all as it is about a village which is not advertisement of anything (G11). The fair organized there suggests why the village is place of interest so A7 is not problem. --Nizil (talk) 16:10, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:GEOLAND, "Populated, legally recognized places are typically considered notable, even if their population is very low. Even abandoned places can remain notable, because notability encompasses their entire history." and Talvana is a village with population, historic and cultural significance. -Nizil (talk) 16:20, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined[edit]

Candidates for speedy deletion patroller --- Compassionate727, I declined your speedy deletion request of this article because A7 does not applies to villages, town and cities. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 22:33, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I saw that. You haven't explained anything about my accusation of G11 though. Compassionate727 (talk) 23:16, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Compassionate727 G11 only applies to articles with blatant adevertisement or promotional wording. Having reminded you of that, why do you think this article is eligible for deletion under the criterion? Wikigyt@lk to M£ 04:27, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Because the article is basically entirely about the fair. This means that it would seem to be promoting the village as an interesting place because of fair, which can be seen as advertising. Compassionate727 (talk) 14:57, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I really do not see any advertisement related issues here. Sometimes cities, towns or villages are known for certain event and inclusion of such event is not forbidden if reliably sourced and it does not in anyway implies advertisement. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 15:54, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
