Meaning of Taslim[edit]

Google translates the arabic word Taslim (تسليم) as delivery, surrender, submission, acceptance, transmission or acknowledgement, according to https://translate.google.com/#ar/en/%D8%AA%D8%B3%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%85. BabyNamesPedia says The name is of the meaning one who offers salutation and submission http://www.babynamespedia.com/meaning/Taslim. Why then does the article say In Islam, taslim means "peaceful"? --Jacques de Selliers (talk) 20:40, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Split proposal[edit]

This article seems to be about two different things: the portion of the prayer and the given name. It should be split so that each can be developed and linked to separately.

I added a hatnote instead --Acjelen (talk) 17:06, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
