Notable Chapters[edit]

I've noticed on some other fraternity pages there are small mentions of chapters that have generated regional/national news (aside from hazing deaths.) Are there any TKE chapters that would fit into a category like this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darryl.jensen (talkcontribs) 19:56, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delta Epsilon chapter at Cleveland State has Guiness book of world records for trampoline jumping. 2603:6010:C94D:1100:7093:2A5E:4F11:4766 (talk) 02:00, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I added this mention to the List of Tau Kappa Epsilon chapters and colonies. Jmnbqb (talk) 03:37, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Symbols, traditions, and other stuff[edit]

I've added some symbols and traditions, and also officer titles in greek as well as english. I plan on adding more, and cleaning up the articles that I got off our web page, which I believe come from national, and are public domain anyway. I'm going to be adding more imformation as the summer progresses. I'll probably suggest to our hegeamon that this page would be a good resource.--Mh143 06:18, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good stuff Mh143, I've removed the stub notice now. As for tke.org, there is no copyright notice which means that copyright is presumed and therefore applied. Try just using it for information, and re-write in your own words. Teke 05:08, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

affiliation with Corps of the Weinheimer Senioren-Convent[edit]

Why is this included in the introductory section? The only reference of this relationship (I wouldn't call it an affiliation) is in the Summer 2003 edition of The Teke[1] Is this worth including? Darryl.jensen (talk) 18:45, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Refer to the message above in "Some changes". Should a Teke travel outside to Europe, more specifically Germany and Austria, there is still a notion of camaraderie and affiliation between TKE and the WSC fraternal organizations. It would be well worth mentioning this affiliation between the two organizations in our introduction paragraph. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital[edit]

"Tau Kappa Epsilon provides support for numerous philanthropies and charitable services, most notably St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which was founded by Danny Thomas, a member of the Gamma-Nu Chapter at the University of Toledo. In 2019, Tau Kappa Epsilon increased its commitment towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with pledging to raise $10 million within the next 10 years. As of July 2022, ΤΚΕ has raised $3.3 million towards this commitment."

This is very detailed for being part of the introduction, and seems to suffer a bit from recentism, with a heavy focus on charity in recent years. Maybe it should be moved to a separate section? /Julle (talk) 23:55, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In the meanwhile, I've moved this to a separate section. /Julle (talk) 19:27, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
