Update[edit]

It seems about time to update the tax breakdown at the bottom of the article. It's from 1997 for goodness' sake! 184.100.134.202 (talk) 23:17, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Easily-accessible online sources on Chinese topics can be difficult to find - China Tax Insights is a blog that seems pretty good, and seems to have some peer-reviewed articles on it as well. I think it is an acceptable external link. II | (t - c) 17:25, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was all moved per request. A history swap was done to preserve the non-trivial page history at the target title.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:49, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Taxation in the Republic of China and Censorship in the Republic of China were recently moved to Taxation in Taiwan and Censorship in Taiwan, respectively. With WP:COMMONNAME and accordance with parent article arguments winning out over arguments that government topics should use official names, this should be relatively noncontroversial. For the taxation articles, the mutual hatnotes will clarify any misunderstandings in nomenclature. For the censorship articles, the present disambiguation page Censorship in China should be overwritten and hatnotes added to the two articles in question (cf. WP:TWODABS). Capitalization[edit]

Is there a reason all the various kinds of taxes are capitalized in the Types of taxes section, e.g. "Value-Added Tax, Consumption Tax and Business Tax"? They're not proper names. ehn (talk) 15:41, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
