No, the official English translation is "Technical University of Madrid" [1][2], and the guidelines also recommend putting always the acronym, e.g. "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM)" or "Technical University of Madrid (UPM)" (yes, that's correct, the Spanish acronym also when using the English translation). AFAIK, "Polytechnic" is used for other kind of education. --surueña 08:04, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Names of the Schools[edit]

(forgive me, I'm new in editing)As the new European Higher Education Area project is being implemented in this university, some of the schools are being joined, some are disapearing, and mostly all of them are being renamed.What is the best thing to do?
