Birth name[edit]
Although many sources give his name at birth as Alessandro Randazzo, the official sources I've seen (via Ancestry.com - but not user-generated sources) say that his birth name was Theodore Alexander Randazzo - which explains why he was called Teddy. His father's name was Alessandro Randazzo, which may have led to the confusion - especially as Teddy started performing at a young age, and his father may well have signed contracts on his behalf.
