Curve tracers

A notable omission from this article is that Tektronix pioneered the manufacture of the curve tracer for testing transistors and other semiconductor devices. It's my intention to create a page about curve tracers. DFH 18:57, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Done. I substantially expanded an existing article. See Semiconductor curve tracer and, of course, feel free to be bold and expand or correct the article.

Fair use rationale for Image:Tektronix logo.jpg

Image:Tektronix logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:02, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

No longer publicly traded under NYSE: TEK

I didn't know if the ticker symbol TEK should have been replaced with DHR, or just removed altogether.

Discuss. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.193.143.189 (talk) 01:03, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Triggered oscilloscope citation

The article calls for a citation to substantiate the invention of the triggered oscilloscope. Please see:

for an appropriate reference.

As a retired officer of this company, I choose not to make the edit myself, but to place it here for verification by others.

Thanks for the info, I have added the citation. Also thanks for following the conflict of interest guidelines. Aboutmovies (talk) 00:47, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

This page is turning into a puff piece.

It should read like an...an...encyclopedia? It is devolving into an annual report. 24.21.111.95 (talk) 17:42, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

4300 series and UTek

Tektronix also used to make graphic workstations running UTek (4.2BSD clone). sendmoreinfo (talk) 19:22, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Airport closing not reason for land availability

Text in the article reads: "In 1956 a large piece of property in nearby Beaverton became available with the closing of the Bernard Airport, and the company’s employee retirement trust purchased the land and ... etc."

Not true. The airport remained in operation until 1969. See: http://www.beavertonoregon.gov/community/historicphotos/larger_image.cfm?id=207 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Other Hand (talkcontribs) 01:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

I was at Tek from 78-83

Just saying... if someone wants to add it, since I'm already notable enough to have a WP page. --Randal L. Schwartz (talk) 19:47, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
