"Rather like a uniform resource locator (URL)"[edit]

I propose editing this phrase into "Somewhat like an Internet domain name in a uniform resource locator (URL)". A URL includes a protocol (eg. "http"), a domain name (eg. "wikipedia.org"), and frequently a path (eg. "/w/index.php") interpreted by the protocol server at the domain to retrieve the object from its internal resources, as well as a query string of named values (eg. "title-Talk:Telegraphic_address&action=edit&section=new"). Of these only the domain name is similar to a telegraphic address, since telegraphy had only one, implicit, protocol and no equivalent to a query string, while a URL path provides more precision than was provided in a telegraphic address. The telegraphic address is not quite like a domain name because the telegraphic address is a label corresponding to a route, while a domain name is converted to a numerical (Internet Protocol) address which determines the routing, typically dynamic amidst momentary network conditions rather than the typically static routing of telegraphy.
