Fair use rationale for Image:Rick perry.jpg[edit]

Image:Rick perry.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Republic of Texas[edit]

Should there be more on the military of the Republic or is there another article elsewhere.KTo288 (talk) 17:22, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Texas National Guard/same-sex marriage[edit]

I believe this information is relevant and important, but not sure how to incorporate it: http://news.yahoo.com/u-states-pentagon-clash-over-id-cards-same-031354277.html 98.218.23.114 (talk) 14:24, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

State of War[edit]

This page says "When the country is in state of war, as it is now". I believe this needs a citation, as no state of declared war exists. DBalling (talk) 12:43, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That whole section on "if the country is in a state of war, it is under control of the President" (to paraphrase) was completely inaccurate anyway. The National Guard only goes into federal service when called by the President. It is not automatic, as implied by the original wording. I updated that section, and then added citations to U.S. and state law to back up my changes. Also, cited a few other paragraphs for good measure. --user:WisTex — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:363E:94A0:11BB:4144:8DDB:E024 (talk) 18:15, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
