Untitled[edit]

I have included that James is a self taught historian. Additionally,I removed where its says this book is "THE authoritative text" on the Haitian Revolution, as there are many texts on the event. I also removed the part that says that criticisms of the accuracy of the book have not been validated. Several history Professors have shown where James' bias has come to conflict with the facts. NPOV[edit]

I am not knowledgeable on this subject, so I shall refrain from edits, but I noticed quickly that the writing carries a distinctly socialist or Marxist slant. I appreciate the hard work done by the person or persons who have contributed to the article, but find that the Marxist outlook materially affects the conclusions drawn by the author, in what at times is a book review. I am not sure if that is normal for an article on a book, but it feels somewhat off.
