From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Blue Mountains", in southern Ontario, is a specific geographical reference to a particular section of the Niagara escarpment, located near Collingwood Ontario, it's highest point is called "Blue Mountain" (singular). There is also a municipality located between Collingwood and Thornbury Ontario, on Georgian Bay, called "The Town of The Blue Mountains". At present,[October 2007] the section of the escarpment, from which the town derives its name, does not have an entry in Wikipedia, although the community and the nearby ski resort both do. These points should be kept in mind when constructing "redirect" pages and new articles for Wikipedia.
