I will start this review shortly. I made a quick read-through, and it seemed an easy read. I look forward to passing this article.Neonblak talk - 17:38, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I will endeavour to respond without delay. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:49, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Review

Lead

  • 1. "The 134th Boat Race took place on 25 March 1989." - wrong date.

Race

  • 1. "Oxford started as pre-race favourites, and having won the toss, elected to start from the Surrey station." - I know that this is a short article, but shouldn't the date of the race be included into this section, as the lead it merely a summary of what is in the main body of the article? Also, when a team wins the "toss", is that a coin toss?
  • 2. "Oxford slowly extended their lead, nine seconds ahead at Hammersmith Bridge, eleven second by the Chiswick Steps and fifteen by Barnes Bridge." - Somethings amiss here. Maybe should read "Oxford slowly extended their lead to nine seconds at Hammersmith Bridge, eleven by the Chiswick Steps, and fifteen by Barnes Bridge." ?
  • 3. "...lengths in a time of 17 minutes and 55 seconds, their second consecutive victory." Instead of a comma, I think a semi-colon should be there, no?
  • That is all I found that may need a second look. Although it is a short article, it is broad enough in coverage that the reader's insterest in the race should be properly satisfied.Neonblak talk - 18:33, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks, all but the last addressed similarly to your suggestions. I don't think a semi-colon is required here. Many thanks for your review. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:10, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
