Misc[edit]

This book is notable as the "first comprehensive history of the shipping container" [1]. I know the quote is from the publisher's site, but I'm fairly certain it's true. It has also won a number of awards. Leigh Honeywell (talk) 18:53, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Extra Chapter[edit]

The 2nd edition of this book has an extra chapter, but does not seem to say which on; probably the last or 15th chapter called "Adding Value", but cannot be sure. ----MountVic127 (talk) 02:58, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AuthorShare[edit]

In June 2021, World of Books and Bookbarn International introduced AuthorSHARE, a partnership program which would pay authors royalties on second-hand sales of their books on the World of Books website.[1]

Copy of 2nd hand copy of Outside the Box bought from WoB (World of Books) who participate in the AuthorShare program. AS is surely a worthy cause deserving a mention on Wikipedia. ----MountVic127 (talk) 09:34, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Faults[edit]

Despite the importance of the Twistlock for securing the containers and for allowing for stacking thereof, "Twistlock" is not mentioned in the index.

  • p189 - diagram of Twistlock Patent 3.027,025.
  • P74 - first mention of Twistlock in the text.
  • Metric conversions of dimensions and weights are not included.
  • No index of diagrams and tables.
  • Name spelled "Mark" on page "i" showing quotations.
