Happy tree friends[edit]

Does this article really need a list of the characters in the video? It seems somewhat unnecessary - Al.locke 04:37, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics[edit]

No real need for the lyrics to be on this page is there? (The-kid-was-alright 23:37, 10 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]

  • It's not in accordance with Wikipedia standards, and yeah there is no need when you can search it elsewhere on the internet. --DJREJECTED 23:51, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Music Video[edit]

Is the music video listed, the official music video for the song?

Yes. It's on their website too ~ FinalWish 02:03, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Love song to Ryan Ross[edit]

Any proof of this? I doubt it, but it could happen.... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 125.238.229.47 (talk) 23:58, 16 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

i doubt it most likely about the girl he writes his songs about.....24.113.251.213 03:11, 21 June 2007 (UTC)andyday[reply]

Genre[edit]

Could this song by itself be considered screamo since there in fact is screaming in it71.203.148.68 03:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is FOB really an emo band? If so, then maybe. If not, then no. (125.238.229.47 01:08, 18 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

maybe......not sure, i mean who much screaming do you need? most screamo stuff i've heard is really hardcore like all screaming.24.113.251.213 03:16, 21 June 2007 (UTC)andyday[reply]

The song style is quite possibly between Hardcore and Post-hardcore(as the lyrical content is somewhat emotional but not to the extent that it is with emo) as the song uses heavier guitars as shown in both Hardcore and Post-hardcore songs. And, also just for the record, having scream and growl is not necessarily something to be quickly associated with Screamo, as with Screamo the vocals of the song is usually screamed and growled through the entire song.

Babyface[edit]

Well according to the production section of Infinity on High, Babyface did not produce The Carpal Tunnel Of Love. He only produced Im like a Lawyer and Thnks Fr Th Mmrs. Why is Babyface put as the producer of this song??

Two Versions[edit]

I've heard somewhere that there are two versions of this song. The only difference is they have slightly different lyrics. Is that notable? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.111.148.241 (talk) 18:20, 10 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Do you know where I can hear the other version of the song?Tabbishea 02:10, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yeah one time i found it on youtube stupid me i forgot to save it in favorites but it was only like a couple of changes to a verse nothing that a normal person would hear. 24.113.251.213 03:13, 21 June 2007 (UTC)andyday[reply]

The other version is actually the live in phoenix recordings of the Carpal Tunnel of Love, it can be heard here http://youtube.com/watch?v=9zYCLWsPCuE&feature=related —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.68.175.162 (talk) 10:08, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wes Eisold[edit]

Pete Wentz lifted some lyrics off Wes Eisold (American Nightmare, Some Girls). Wes was thanked in the liner notes as 'inspirador'. Wes also sued them and it was settled outside of court, and he has a credit in the song writing. maybe this should be mentioned?

he shouldn't get creidt the guys wrote it not that dude, but yes for legal reasons we should put it, but what would we put it as?

I meant that Pete Wentz bit lyrics off Wes.

That's not the first time it's happened either, Pete's a biter, he's used ETID lyrics too. And yeah if he wrote lyrics, he should get credit. Personally I find American Nightmare an infinitely more enjoyable band than fob.

Song title[edit]

After reading the meaning of "carpal tunnel syndrome" (a repetitive motion injury resulting from the repition of the same hand or finger movement), and with the Love bit, It sounds to me like it refers to masturbating (and getting a sore wrist from it). Anyone agree? XD Vality 15:39, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur, but that's just opinion; unless you can find any interviews etc in which the band state this? - Al.locke 04:17, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Music Video too long[edit]

The description of the music video for this song is far too detailed for such an article. I realize that the actual video is unique in its presentation (using Happy Tree Friends characters), but that does not warrant a section this large. If the video section could be summarized in a more concise and grammaticaly correct manner, it would greatly increase the credibility of this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.14.221.179 (talk) 22:48, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

alternative metal?? don't think so... --93.138.35.58 (talk) 19:30, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There's been a genre editing dispute between me and other people. I say it's "Pop rock, alternative rock, pop punk" while others say "Alternative rock, post-hardcore, alternative metal". Alternative rock, yes, but post-hardcore is not correct, and Definately Not alternative metal. Fall Out Boy's Infinity on High album is on the edge of pop, and is no way close to alternative metal. No Fall Out Boy songs or albums have the genre of "alternative metal", and this doesn't sound anything like alternative metal, so it should be removed and reverted back to my edits. I'm an obsessive Fall Out Boy fan. I'd know.Noreplyhaha (talk) 12:00, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
