Synopsis[edit]

Here is the beginnings of a synopsis. We don't want this to be too long, since this this will hit into primary sourcing and length issues. But at the same time... it would be nice to have a summary and link Perry's work into the web of ideas. I might have to cut quite aggressively.

Okay I merged this into the article. Still too long. I don't know whether "mixing" reviews from newspapers that address the same points things in the book (but without the chapters numbers) is a good idea to make this all more verifiable and reduce the risk of me adding my own strong interpretation.
