Who owns The Co-operative Travel?[edit]

This article's lead says that Thomas Cook completed the buy out of The Co-operative Group's share of The Co-operative Travel in 2016. This ought to mean that The Co-operative Travel is now 100% owned by Thomas Cook. However, the body of the article (and the infobox) still claim the 70%–30% split ownership is in place. Can we update this article to say that Thomas Cook now own The Co-operative Travel? Are there any sources for this? - Polly Tunnel (talk) 16:06, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

G11[edit]

How does this page not fall into the G11 category with clear self promotion in the section "operations"? SunnyBeachTourist (talk) 17:09, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you mean the criterion for speedy deletion called G11. One of the reasons for this might be that The Co-operative Travel no longer exists and cannot promote itself. The majority of the article covers the organisation's history in a way that doesn't appear to me to be particularly promotional. The "Operations" section is presumably intended to give an idea of the scope of the business, but the list it contains could be considered promotional. Its single citation does not lead to anything I can now find online. Hence although the page itself does not appear to me to be exclusively promotional and hence not suitable for speedy deletion, the "Operations" section could be removed. - Polly Tunnel (talk) 17:44, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a little confused, SunnyBeachTourist. You say that "The co-operative travel... retained its brand name". The article says: "During 2017–18 Thomas Cook rebranded its The Co-operative Travel branches to the Thomas Cook name".
