The Cult of Mac (book)The Cult of Mac – Unnecessary disambiguation. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 23:33, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 02:07, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • It previously redirected to another article, and the following is written in the logs; Moved The Cult of Mac to The Cult of Mac (book): Cult of Mac more often refers to the religious following of Mac Users. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 23:44, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • My sense that this was an uncontroversial request was informed by the sense that there's never a good reason for any "x" title to redirect to an article at "x (book)": the article should always be at the undisambiguated title. In this case, though the redirect has in the past pointed to another target, that target was a section that no longer exists (indeed, Criticism of Apple Inc. no longer seems to contain any relevant material and doesn't use the word "cult" or "religion" anywhere), and this has uncontroversially pointed to the current target for six years. As such, I see no good reason not to move this. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 12:33, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
