According to the book: "Viva South America" written by Oliver Balch (2009) Basilio Vargas' family was promised a small house and a provisions to start a simple shop by the documentary makers. But according to Oliver Balch Basilio only received a cheque of 30 dollars, which would cost 59 dollars to cash. Does anybody know if this is true? It would be interesting to know what happened to Basilio Vargas after the release of the documentary.
