Very early sampling yes, but it's not the vocals of one or parts of several songs mixed/mashed up with the music of another.

I remember reading Buchanan and Goodman hadn't gotten the rights to use the clips and found themselves on the wrong sides of lawsuits for copyright violation. No mention of this is made.
